Realistic Design: It looks Pretty, Now Build It!

Ethan Imboden from Frog Design states, “The designer must understand the full set of implications of their craft” and I would have to agree.

Whenever I design, I focus on ensuring the project can realistically be built. For me, a design must look appealing and be durable to function.

In a recent project during the summer, I designed a nerf blaster to fit the theme of Thorn while remaining functional. Many designs I found did not look aesthetically pleasing, or did not fire nerf darts. While the challenge proved to be daunting, I was proud to state that I created a nerf blaster that looks great and functions exactly as intended!
